# 12. Vital statistics export

Vital statistics refer to the data set assembled from vital events related to the population, encapsulating not only the event details but also characteristics of the individuals involved.

In the context of OpenCRVS, a .csv file containing such vital statistics - excluding any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) - is systematically generated on the first day of each month, encompassing all registered records.

### **Triggers**

National System Admin has been requested to provide vital statistics data

### **Standard flow**

1. National System Admin navigates to Vital Statistics Export
2. User select the Birth or Death tab which list available vital statistics .csv files
3. User clicks “Export” on the month that they require
4. User select the location on their computer they want .csv to download too

### **Post conditions**

* User can choose to export another month of vital statistics data
